FIFA for Switch might be missing some features that appear in other platforms' version of the game, but it seems to have something they don't - some very weird glitches.
Since release, players have been stumbling across odd moments that appear to centre around failing to apply textures to players.
Reddit user boldverine posted footage (below) of the players, ball and goals reduced to what seems to be their hitboxes, represented as slightly chunky black outlines. It's weirdly adorable:
YouTuber Snorth93 came across a separate issue, where certain players from Huddersfield Town didn't have their correct faces, instead replaced with default, crash test dummy-like placeholders.
The problem appears to apply to everything from gameplay to the kit selection screen. Some commenters have explained that the problem only seems to apply to certain teams, including Huddersfield, but we've not been able to confirm that.
There's been no word from developer EA about the issues, although they don't appear to be hugely widespread at this point.
We awarded this year's core FIFA 18 an 8.2 review, calling it "a spectacular if somewhat shallow experience." For a rundown on everything that is and isn't in the Switch version of FIFA 18, we've got you covered.
