Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is already hard at work on the sequel to the DC solo film.
In an interview with Variety, DC's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns was asked whether Jenkins will be back to direct Wonder Woman 2, as it was reported earlier this month that Jenkins hadn't signed on yet to direct a sequel. Johnson confirmed Jenkins will return, as he's currently writing the treatment for the sequel with the filmmaker.
"Patty and I are writing the treatment right now," said Johns. "The goal is to make another great Wonder Woman film. I had a blast making it with Patty the first time. We've got a cool idea for the second one."
Elsewhere in the interview, Warner Bros. executive VP Jon Berg confirmed Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will play a significant role in Justice League. "Her role won’t change, but she was already playing a big role," Berg said. "People really responded to Gal [Gadot] in Batman v. Superman. We knew we had something special."
