Star Wars: Lando Calrissian 'Complicated' in Han Solo Movie

"I think even Han isn’t as complicated as Lando is."

Lando Calrissian is a complicated figure in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff movie, according to Donald Glover.

While speaking to Deadline about what's been like portraying Lando, Glover said this younger version of the character is very complex. Even though Lando "has a lot of style" in the spinoff, you never know what his true agenda is.

"I think even Han isn't as complicated as Lando is," said Glover. "From the first time you meet him, you don't know whether to trust him or not, and you're constantly not knowing whether to trust him."

Elsewhere in the interview, Glover said he's learned quite a lot about Lando while playing him and that, since Lando is a lot of fans' favorite character, Glover has been both excited and nervous taking over the role from Billy Dee Williams. Earlier this year, Williams shared his thoughts on meeting Glover, saying he "really got the sense of him [Glover] being a worldly person."
