Project CARS 2’s Porsche Lineup Revealed

Porsche factory driver Patrick Long discusses his involvement with Project CARS 2’s handling.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios has published a new video featuring Porsche factory driver Patrick Long explaining his role in helping the team hone the handling of the Porsche models included in the game.

“My involvement with Project CARS came from a very pure driver-engineer relationship, working with them on tuning Porsche’s products to relate back to the user in the crispest and most authentic way,” says Long in the video, which showcases the Porsches players can expect to see in Project CARS 2 when the game launches later this year.

The cars include the Porsche 936 (which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times), the incredibly dominant Porsche 935, the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and several more.

Patrick Long is Porsche’s only American factory driver and has scored class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Petit Le Mans, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the Bathurst 12 Hour. Prior to his work on Project CARS 2 Long contributed voiceovers to Forza Motorsport 6’s Porsche Expansion.

The video is the second in Slightly Mad Studios’ ‘Built by Drivers’ series. The first features McLaren chief test-driver Chris Goodwin describing his work with the team on perfecting the feel of Project CARS 2’s McLarens.
