Prey PS4 Patch Reportedly Causing Frame Rate Issues

Input latency fix believed to be the root of the issue.

The latest update for the PS4 version of Prey is reportedly causing significant frame rate issues.

According to Digital Foundry, while patch 1.04 adds PS4 Pro support that features sharper visuals, it also creates the "worst instance of irregular frame delivery" the outlet has seen, resulting in a visual experience that feels as though it has a drastically lower frame rate. The patch introduces a fix for the input latency, which is believed to be the root of the issue.

The outlet also noticed another issue introduced by the update. When going into your inventory, the game's field of view is reduced and the only when the next map loads will it return to its original size. This issue was found when playing the game on both PS4 and PS4 Pro, as well as Xbox One.
