PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was released into Early Access 3 months ago today - and it just hit 4 million copies sold.
Announced by PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Green, the battle royale game continues to gain players, well before its finished version:
3 months... 4 million copies of @PUBATTLEGROUNDS sold... Thank you all again for your continuing support <3

At the beginning of May, Battlegrounds hit the 2 million copies mark, meaning its rate of sales has stayed almost as fast since then - something only likely to be helped by the fact that the game will arrive on Xbox One later this year.
There's more to come. Updates have been rolling out regularly, and new modes - like PvP zombie attacks, for example - are on their way.
We gave the PC Early Access version a tentative 9.0 review, saying that, "even though it’s as rough around the edges as the early access label implies, it’s absolutely worth playing right now".
