Power Rangers

Release Date: Tuesday, June 27, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $19.96 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: Whenever Hollywood attempts to reboot a beloved, pre-existing property on the big screen, it always feels more or less reconstructed in a way to be more accessible for all kinds of audiences, and less specific than the original incarnation may have ever been. The best thing that can be said about 2017’s Power Rangers then - Saban and Lionsgate’s new attempt at bringing the iconic title back to life as a large scale blockbuster - is that it doesn’t ever feel like it betrays the core values of the Power Rangers franchise.

T2: Trainspotting

Release Date: Tuesday, June 27, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $17.96 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: Trainspotting is one of the most iconic, influential British films ever made. Danny Boyle’s movie about taking heroin and ‘choosing life’ defined a generation like no other. Making sequels to those kinds of movies – the ones that perennially adorn student walls and define an era with every single scene – usually doesn’t seem like a good idea. But T2 uses that baggage to carve out, along with the passage of time, a surprisingly introspective follow-up.
