Microsoft's History at E3

This page collects the highlights of Microsoft's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) press conferences, games and show floor displays. A long-time developer of PC software, Microsoft first became involved with console development in collaboration with Sega, adapting the Windows CE operating system to the Dreamcast. This collaboration was noted during Sega’s E3 1998 keynote and promotion.

Microsoft announced their own new console, the Xbox, on March 10, 2000 at the Game Developers Conference. Teasers followed at E3 2000 three months later. Microsoft has been a constant presence at E3 ever since. The list below only shows major reveals -- click on the links or use the nav to access detailed write-ups, which you can also help flesh out by adding more information.
