Bandai Namco has revealed details on VR Zone Shinjuku, which it’s billing as “Japan’s largest VR entertainment facility” and “the flagship location for the next-generation of entertainment.” VR Zone Shinjuku is set to open on July 14 in Tokyo, with reservations available now on its official site.
VR Zone Shinjuku will include 15 VR experiences including Dragon Ball VR: “Master the Kamehameha,” Evangelion VR: “The Throne of Souls,” Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix VR, and more.
Bandai Namco also described other VR experiences not based on franchises, including “exploring a fantasy world on a winged bicycle, a horror-filled dinosaur survival run, and much more.”
Other attractions will include an escape room-style scenario where a giant balloon is expanding inside of a locked cell, and a “virtually simulated resort themed dining space.”
Check out some shots of the arcade hardware and screenshots of the experiences in the gallery below:
Plus, check out some shots of the facility itself, including a tree centerpiece that will feature touch screen interaction, a projection of Pac-Man, and some of the special dishes that will be featured in the cafe:
Stay tuned to IGN for more news about VR Zone Shinjuku, including impressions of the new attractions and more, once it opens in July.
