"For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy. We need to do the same if we’re going to survive," Jon Snow says over the trailer, which features brief snippets of the battles to come. The trailer also offers new, brief glimpses at Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and Sansa Stark, who says the A Song of Ice and Fire quote, "When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives" over the final moments of the trailer.
Ahead of Game of Thrones' July 16 premiere, fans may have discovered the real name of Jon Snow, while the runtimes, including a record-breaking long season finale, of season 7's episodes have reportedly been discovered. Four spinoffs were originally reported in development, while A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin later revealed a fifth potential spinoff as well.
HBO programming president Casey Bloys also recently revealed that the final season of Game of Thrones may not air until 2019, and HBO has five Game of Thrones spinoffs in development, though the network has not committed to necessarily airing any as of this time.
