Final Fantasy XV Episode Prompto Release Date Announced

Uncover the truth behind Prompto's origin next week.

Episode Prompto, the next character-focused story DLC for Final Fantasy XV, will be released on June 27, Square Enix has announced.

In this story add-on, which Square Enix previously confirmed would launch sometime before the end of June, players will assume control of Prompto, who finds himself alone in the arctic on a mission to uncover the truth behind his origin.

The launch of Episode Prompto follows the story DLC for Gladio, which released earlier this year. Like Prompto and Gladio, a story add-on for Ignis is on the horizon, as well as a co-op multiplayer expansion called Comrades.

Last week, Square Enix detailed what players can expect from Final Fantasy XV's June update, which features the "Regalia Type-D," a version of Noctis' vehicle that allows you to take the Regalia off the main road. Meanwhile, last month's update featured a survey that asks players what they would like to see from future updates. Voting concludes at the end of June, so there's still time to participate.
