The team behind Final Fantasy XV has confirmed that it has big plans for the game, to be announced at this year's Gamescom.
Gematsu reports that during the Japanese E3 2017 Recap Active Time Report stream, Square Enix marketing manager Akio Ofuji revealed that the company is planning "to do all sorts of things on a large scale this summer.”
This was backed up by game director Hajime Tabata, who said: “That’s right. We’ve been extremely busy. We have to be sure to have some good announcements in the summer [...] I want to put out some good news during Gamescom.”
It comes a day before the release of the Episode Prompto DLC, the second of three story expansions for each of the game's non-playable lead characters. That will be followed up by a co-op multiplayer mode called Comrades.
It's not clear whether Tabata's "good news" will come in the form of further DLC, another special event like the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, or details about the two remaining drops.
E3 brought its own surprise Final Fantasy XV news, in the form of PSVR spin-off fishing game, Monster of the Deep, which was revealed at this year's Sony conference.
