Where to Find the Hidden Hat People in Mario Odyssey

This page will contain all the locations where Bonnetors are hiding in hats for the Hat-and-Seek Power Moon challenges in applicable Kingdoms.

Once you have beaten the main story, returning to Kingdoms where tourists from other areas are now exploring may sometimes include a few Bonnetors - and speaking to them will reveal that their friends are hiding in the crowd.

In order to find these hidden hat people, you'll nee to closely inspect the back of other people's hats. If you see the large eyes like Cappy - you'll know you've found your target, and will be rewarded with a Power Moon for talking to them.

Note that some Kingdoms have more than one Bonnetor playing hide-and-seek, and to unveil them you'll need to open the Moon Rock to release more Power Moons into that kingdom.

EditSand Kingdom

The Sand Kingdom Power Moon 65 - Hat-and-Seek: In the Sand is one of the Power Moons obtained after defeating Bowser in the Sand Kingdom.

This Power Moon can be found in Quadrant E3, near the bottom part of Tostarena, but only after completing the main story.

After talking to the Bonneton near the entrance of Tostarena, He will tell you his friend is off hanging around on someones head.

His friend can be found on the head of a Tostarena local in line for shaved ice near the Crazy Cap store, who will then give you a Power Moon for finding him.

There are two Bonnetors in this Kingdom.

The Metro Kingdom Power Moon 62 - Hat-and-Seek: In the City is one of the Power Moons in the Metro Kingdom.

This Power Moon can only be obtained after completing the Main Story, and is a hard Power Moon to pinpoint as it is on a moving target.

Speaking to some Bonneters near the Main Street Entrance, you'll learn that a Bonneter is hiding among the crowd on someone's head.

You'll need to check the streets and look at all the humans to spot his eyes peeking out the back of someone's hat, and talk to them to get the Power Moon.

The Metro Kingdom Power Moon 75 - Hat-and-Seek: In the Crowd is one of the Power Moons in the Metro Kingdom

You can find this Power Moon in Quadrant A2, and only appears after opening the Moon Rock to release more Power Moons.

Warp to the Outdoor Cafe flag and head directly North into the open door. There is a cap ghost posing as a New Donk Citizen somewhere in the crowd.

Head to the end of the hall and watch the hats as people come out of the door. You will see one with two Cappy-like eyes on it. Talk to the person and the cap ghost will reward you with a Power Moon.

The Snow Kingdom Power Moon 36 - Hat-and-Seek in the Snow is one of the Power Moons in the Snow Kingdom.

This Power Moon can be found in the town of Shiveria, located in the well in the center of the Snow Kingdom, once you have completed the Main Story for the game.

Once the story is complete, return to Shiveria to find a Bonneter looking for his friend in the crowd. You'll need to explore the people gathered to watch the Bound Bowl races in the Snowline Circuit itself down the hole.

Look among the gathered racers to find a pair of eyes on the back of one of the Shiverians and speak to him to get a Power Moon.

The Luncheon Kingdom Power Moon 54 - Hat-and-Seek: Among the Food is one of the Power Moons located at the Luncheon Kingdom.

You can find this Power Moon in Quadrant B2. Warp to the Peronza Plaza flag and head into the plaza. If you speak with the Cap Kingdom ghost in the plaza he will tell you one of his friends has possessed someone at the celebration.

Head towards the Crazy Cap and enter the alleyway behind the store where you will see a Peronzan citizen. You might notice the Peronzan's chef hat has eyes just like Cappy's. Speak with him and he will give up the Power Moon.

The Mushroom Kingdom Power Moon 42 - Hat-and-Seek: Mushroom Kingdom is one of the Power Moons in the Mushroom Kingdom.

After you have found Princess Peach in every Kingdom visitors will start to flood the Mushroom Kingdom.

Travel to the area between Quadrant A2 and B2 and you will spot a Toad staring at the Castle. Walk around to his back to discover a citizen of the Cap Kingdom on his head.

Speak to him and he will give you a power moon to keep his secret.
