Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon's Team Rainbow Rocket Revealed

No rest for the wicked.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will see the return of many enemies vanquished in previous games, including Team Rocket's Giovanni from Pokemon Red and Blue, to form Team Rainbow Rocket.

Revealed as a member of Team Rainbow Rocket, a modern revival of his old criminal organization, Giovanni challenges the player character with Mewtwo. But Giovanni isn't the only villain returning, as the trailer below reveals.

We already knew about the return of Team Rocket, but now villains from the past 20 years of Pokemon history will be returning for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, including the villains from Ruby and Sapphire, X and Y, and many more.

The trailer also introduces The Battle Agency, a place where players can rent powerful Pokemon to use in one-on-one battles. Through these battles trainers can earn rare items.

Also revealed are Totem Stickers, which will be hidden throughout the Alola Region. By collecting these stickers, players will be able to obtain Totem-sized Pokemon. Players of Sun and Moon will remember that Pokemon fought during Totem battles were much larger than their average-sized counterparts.

Players will have much greater access to the full range of Pokemon in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The Island Scan ability will cause different Pokemon to appear than usual, and Legendary Pokemon will be found beyond an Ultra Wormhole. Not just a few Pokemon, either. Legendaries from previous games will be obtainable between Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
