The Pokemon Company has announced a new app that can transform your Amazon Echo or Google Home interactive assistants into fan-favorite Pokemon, Pikachu.
The app, called Pikachu Talk, will become available in Western markets on Amazon Echo and Google Home in 2018, and will update the device to speak in Pikachu's voice. Pikachu will also giggle and laugh, and it is pretty adorable.

Although it doesn't add functionality to the assistants, it fulfills the dream of any Pokemon trainer that has ever wanted to have their own Pokemon to talk to, just like Ash.
Pikachu Talk is already available in Japan, and an owner of both an Echo and Home discovered that if you put two devices next to each other that both have Pikachu Talk installed, the Pikachu will talk to each other. You can check it out on Twitter, as spotted by Polygon.
