Warning: this article contains spoilers for Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #6!

This issue featured the two perennial enemies breaking bread together in Jameson's apartment. In exchange for Jameson's help in uncovering more information about his sister, Teresa, Spidey agreed to participate in an hour-long, no-holds-barred interview for Jameson's blog. Needless to say, it didn't go well for either party.

In the course of their heated discussion, Jameson revealed that his long-running hatred of Spider-Man stems from an incident when he and his girlfriend were robbed by a masked assailant. Ever since, Jameson has held a grudge against heroes who hide behind masks and shirk their responsibility to the public.

With Jameson haunted by memories of the past and images of his dead wife, Marla, Peter decided that the only way to finally heal their rift was to unmask and reveal his identity. Unfortunately, Spidey made a quick escape before Jameson could properly process that surprising revelation. It remains to be seen how he'll react or if he can be trusted to protect Peter's secret.

This isn't the first time Jameson has discovered Spider-Man's identity in Marvel's comics. He found out the hard way during the course of 2007's Civil War when Peter unmasked on national TV. However, because of stories like One More Day and One Moment In Time, Jameson (like most of the Marvel Universe) has lost all memory of that incident. It seems that writer Chip Zdarsky now has the opportunity to explore the effects of that identity reveal in greater depth now.
