Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Tips and Tricks

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp may not have the depth of most titles in the series but we still have some handy tips to help you out.

This is what the majority of the game is built around so it's not hard to do. Exchanging items with animals earns you currency and crafting materials as well as helps you level up. It's the most important part of the game.

Check out our guide on how to do this for more help.

When a new animal shows up on your map, go say hi. Even this interaction will raise your friendship level by 1 heart and will mean you can call them back at a later time with a Calling Card if you like.

Each Animal gives different Resources and Essences for completing requests or just having a chat. Prioritise visiting Animals who will give you things you need and even tailer who stays in your campsite depending on your crafting requirements.

Later in the game, you will build amenities to help raise the friendship levels the animals. You can only have two amenities at a time so you should choose one or two themes to focus on leveling up.

Swap Animals out as they become fully leveled. Talking to and completing requests for fully leveled animals will get you resources but won't help you level.

Animals will have a tick next to their head if you have all the items to complete a quest. If they have nothing next to their heads they may still have a request for you. Tap their icon to check their status rather than having to travel to their location. This works for multiple animals in the campsite as well.

Because it regenerates on a 3-hour countdown Fruit can often feel like the rarest collectible item. By picking this up as often as possible you'll be more likely to have that fruit when an Animal requests it.

It's better to have a few of everything than lots of one thing. If you need to clear out inventory space consider this before throwing away something you might need.

Using your Market Box to try to sell your extra fruit is a good way to make money, so long as you keep your prices fair and your friends are buying.

Fish and Bugs both regenerate reasonably quickly. By moving to each of the areas on the map where they spawn and clearing them out you can farm items. They will respawn while you're at their location as well if you are after something specific.

Bugs and Fish are also far easier to catch in Pocket Camp than other Animal Crossing. Fish don't run away when you get close and Bugs will let you get much closer before disappearing.

Most of the time you're crafting items to appease potential campsite visitors. You can view the items each animal wants you to make by checking your contacts and touching the animal's icon. Selecting the item will then take you to the crafting screen.

Crafting slots can be purchased with Leaf Tickets which are Pocket Camp's premium currency. You do get a fair amount of these for free as you level up and complete goals and buying crafting slots is well worth the tickets. This will allow you to craft multiple items at once and with some items taking up to a day to craft only having one slot will really slow you down.

Goals offer Resources and Leaf Tickets as rewards, so if you're low on crafting materials it's worth having a look to see if you can complete any and get what you need.
