It's hard to believe the Switch only came out last March. It seems like it's been around forever, and its success has given it the third-party support Nintendo's excellent hybrid console deserves.
Right now, both Walmart and Amazon are offering discounts on some awesome games to round out your switch library. The biggest advantage Walmart has is membership-free two-day shipping on all orders over $35.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for $29.88
Walmart has this incredibly fun and challenging game for less than $30, which puts it just shy of the requirement for free shipping. But you can also order it and pick it up for free in-store, so all is not lost.
----------------------
Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for $37.40
Both Walmart and Amazon have Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for the same price. However, the price on Amazon is only for Prime members, something Amazon has been doing a lot lately. It just sneaks past the free shipping requirement from Walmart, so that's a bonus.
----------------------
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for $50.99
How many times do you own Skyrim? I personally own it... more than one time. Maybe more than two. Certainly I haven't bought Skyrim three times, except I just realized I did and the idea of Skyrim on Switch is really tempting so maybe I'm going to end up with a four-peat here.
----------------------
Super Mario Odyssey for $48.75
I don't want to spoil anything about Odyssey if you haven't played it. It is such a pure delight, with one sequence in particular that made me to smile like an idiot (more so than usual) for the entire time it took to play out.
----------------------
Fire Emblem Warriors Special Edition for $64.90 with free shipping
This is a fully loaded special edition for Fire Emblem collectors and superfans out there, and it definitely qualifies for free shipping. Amazon third-party sellers might offer it for a bit less, but I didn't include them because sometimes they sneak an extra charge in there to balance out the price difference. I'm onto you.
----------------------
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for $49.85
Oh look, it's one of my personal favorite games of all time. Don't believe those people who say this game isn't fantastic. They are dead inside.
----------------------
LEGO City Undercover for $25.35
If you missed this one on Wii U, and let's face it, statistically the probability is extremely high, you should pick it up on Switch. It's a super fun, silly open world LEGO game with some great writing and a vast open LEGO world.
----------------------
Scribblenauts Showdown for $19.96
Amazon has Scribblenauts Showdown for less than $20, and if you liked any of the Scribblenauts games in the past, you will also like this one. It's fun, it's ridiculous, but best of all, it's portable again.
----------------------
If Minecraft is a digitized version of LEGO bricks, LEGO World is a LEGO version of the game that made a digital version of LEGO bricks into reality. It's a little more in-depth than that, but it's a lot of fun and I found it extremely easy to lose an hour or five playing this one.
----------------------
Resident Evil Revelations Collection for $39.88
Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield are back to shoot more genetically mutated zombies directly in the face. I haven't played this one, but at one point in the series Jill was the master of unlocking things, so I hope there's more unlocking in this.
----------------------
I didn't think it was going to be possible for them to make NBA 2K18 work on the Switch, but they did it. And it's great. Seriously, it's a ton of fun to play the best NBA game on the go and the graphics look amazing on the small screen.
----------------------
Rocket League is a must-have for whatever consoles or PC you have. It's even better on Switch, in my opinion, just because I like to sit in bed and play car soccer. It's not discounted but it is available instantly as a download, or you can get the cart for a reduced price at Walmart.
----------------------
Stardew Valley for Switch is lovely and perfect. This isn't a sale price, this is the regular price. I just think you should get it, is all.
----------------------
Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition for $29.99
Amazon has the cartridge version available to pre-order, with the 20% discount for Prime members. But I think you should get it now because I personally believe this is one of the best versions of console Minecraft. I've bought this game more than Skyrim, and I've never regretted it. The Switch version is the ultimate portable Minecraft experience.
