WNBA Teams and Players Coming to NBA Live 18

Ball is life.

For the first time ever, WNBA players and teams will be playable in a video game. EA teamed up with the league to bring the WNBA to NBA Live 18.

EA scanned the heads of star WNBA players like Maya Moore, Brittney Griner, Diana Taurasi, and more, and had 2017 WNBA first-draft pick Kelsey Plum provide motion capture.

WNBA President Lisa Borders said the league is "delighted to collaborate and make history with EA."

Borders is confident "the game will provide a terrific platform to showcase the players and the league."

EA revealed NBA Live 18 during its EA Play event during E3 week. A new mode in the game, called The One, has you select between playing in the league or playing 5-on-5 games on the streets.

A demo for NBA Live 18 is coming later this month, and progress in the demo carries over to the main game when it launches in September. EA Access members qualify for a 10-percent discount if they buy the game on Xbox One through the service.
