The New Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has just been announced, and boy does it look like a winner. Click here for our full coverage of the Note 8 announcement. Here's a quick rundown of the specs:

• 6.3" 2960x1440 Infinity glass display
• The S-pen stylus, the Note's trump card over the S8
• Snapdragon Octa-Core CPU with 6GB RAM
• 64GB built-in storage expandable to 256GB via MicroSD
• Dual 12MP 2x optical zoom rear camera with optical image stabilization
• 8MP front camera with eye scanner
• Runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS
• 3,300mAh battery
• The promise that it won't explode in your pocket

The S-Pen has always been the primary differentiator between the Galaxy S series and the Note series. The S-Pen offers much more precise control than your fingertips and Samsung has done a remarkable job of enabling a whole suite of functional commands to the stylus. You'd be surprised how much you'll use it for work, for school, and everything in between.

When can I preorder?

Preorders will open up at Samsung.com and authorized resellers starting tomorrow, August 24. The phone will officially go on sale on September 15.
