Iris West Actress on Her 'Sick' Intro in Justice League

Clemons makes her DCEU debut as Iris West this November.

Kiersey Clemons, who will star as Iris West in the DC Extended Universe, has shed light on her character's "sick" debut in Justice League.

In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Clemons confirmed she hasn't been involved in the Justice League reshoots and doesn't know what the current situation is with the film, but believes "whatever they're doing is necessary." As far has her character is concerned, Clemons added, "I know the parts that I did introducing Iris are f—king sick."

The actress, who is also set to appear in The Flash movie, went on to note that she initially "didn’t really have any type of desire to be a part of any superhero world," but Warner Bros.' upcoming DC film changed that. "And then I stepped on the set of Justice League and I was like, 'Holy s—t. All right!'" she said.

Speaking to CinemaBlend, Clemons spoke to the fact that The Flash television series features Candice Patton as Iris West and how she's been avoiding the CW show since she signed on play the character in the DCEU.

"When I do projects where it's [characters that have been adapted before]... no. I will let it affect me," she said. She then admitted she "saw a little bit" of The Flash before working on Justice League, but now she's steering clear for fear of drawing from Patton's portrayal. "Now it's like, 'Oh no, no, no.' Because I'll pull from it! I'll be like, 'I want to do that. No, I don't want to do that.' No, no, no," Clemons added.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17. In the meantime, check out the gallery below for a look at every confirmed DCEU movie Warner Bros. has announced so far.
