Friday the 13th: The Game Sells 1.8 Million Copies

Jason's about to get physical.

Gun Media and IllFonic have announced that Friday the 13th: The Game has now sold over 1.8 million copies across all platforms.

Plus, a physical release will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions on, you guessed it, Friday the 13th in October.

The physical edition will cost $40, and will come with a Bloody Jason skin variant for all playable Jason versions, and a clothing pack for all playable camp counselors.

Wes Keltner, head of Gun Media, said "while things haven't been completely smooth we definitely feel confident moving forward. The team has grown and we are committed as we work to add more content, more kills, more to do and of course the single player component to the game."

The game launched with a variety of technical issues which have now been fixed. There were also fears that development on the game would stop, but these have now been put to rest.

IGN's review says it's the "best Friday the 13th game ever made," but only when you're playing as Jason.
