Deadpool 2: Leslie Uggams to Return as Blind Al

Blind Al is "definitely" returning.

Leslie Uggams will reprise her role as Blind Al in Deadpool 2.

In an interview with Blackfilm, Uggams confirmed she is "definitely" returning for the sequel. However, the veteran actress didn't reveal much else about the nature of her return, including how big of a role Blind Al might play in the sequel and if Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will still be roommates with her.

Other confirmed returning characters for the sequel are Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), and taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni). Deadpool 2 doesn't have a release date yet, though a short teaser for the film did debut in front of Logan earlier this year.

The movie has also found its Cable in Josh Brolin, who was recently cast as the time-traveling mutant. Brolin shared some pre-production photos of him already preparing for the role. Screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese plan to "distill" Cable's "convoluted origin" from the comics.

Atlanta star Zazie Beetz was also recently cast as Domino, and Reese and Wernick spoke to IGN about the casting choice, as well as about director David Leitch.
