Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed that Michael Keaton will indeed star as Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
When asked by the Toronto Sun about the upcoming villains set to appear in the MCU, Feige said, "We’ve had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together. Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something."
While Marvel Studios previously confirmed that Keaton will indeed star in Spider-Man: Homecoming, until now the studio has remain tight-lipped on who he'll play.
News of his casting is hardly a surprise, as prior reports suggested as much, and concept art for the film that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con showcased Tom Holland's Spider-Man facing off against Vulture.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
