How Much Each MCU Movie Made Its Opening Weekend


From Iron Man to Doctor Strange.

With Doctor Strange now yet another blockbuster for Marvel Studios -- opening atop the North American box office with $85 million -- let's look back at how much each entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe made during its opening weekend.

Here's how all 14 entries in the MCU fared in their respective North American debuts, as well as their total ultimate domestic and worldwide (unadjusted) grosses.

14. The Incredible Hulk

Opening Weekend: $55.4 million

Total Domestic Gross: $134.8 million

Total Worldwide Gross: $263.4 million

Sequel?: No, but Hulk appeared in both Avengers movies and will be in Thor: Ragnarok.

13. Ant-Man

Opening Weekend: $57.2 million

Total Domestic Gross: $180.2 million

Total Worldwide Gross: $519.3 million

Sequel?: Yes, Ant-Man and the Wasp is in development for a July 6, 2018 release. Ant-Man also appeared in Captain America: Civil War.

12. Captain America: The First Avenger

Opening Weekend: $65.1 million

Total Domestic Gross: $176.7 million

Total Worldwide Gross: $370.6 million

Sequel?: Yes, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War (see stats below). Cap also appears in both Avengers movies.
