Final Fantasy XV MMO Mobile Game Announced

Official title and release date not yet announced.

Game of War developer Machine Zone and Square Enix have announced they're partnering to make a new MMO mobile game set in the world of Final Fantasy XV.

According to VentureBeat, the characters, story and music from Final Fantasy XV will all be featured in the game, which uses Machine Zone's technology to unite millions of players around the world in real time, all within a single, shared universe.

"Machine Zone has a stellar track record in the mobile gaming space and we are putting Final Fantasy XV in trustworthy hands," Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda said in a statement. "We are very excited to work with the MZ team to bring together two leaders in the gaming world and look forward to Final Fantasy XV on MZ's amazing gaming platform."

This new mobile MMO does not yet have an official title, and there's no word on when the game is expected to launch.

Square Enix is currently gearing up for the release of Final Fantasy XV, which hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29. For more on the long-awaited role-playing game, read up on Final Fantasy XV's upcoming multiplayer mode
