An American Werewolf in London Remake Coming From Max Landis

But will it feature 'Bad Moon Rising'?

An American Werewolf in London remake is on its way from The Walking Dead‘s David Albert and Robert Kirkman, based off a script by Max Landis.

Deadline reports that Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra) will also direct the remake. His father, John Landis, wrote and directed the original. The older Landis will come aboard as an executive producer.

The 1981 horror-comedy flick focuses on two American backpackers who are attacked - and infected - by a werewolf while travelling through the UK. While it didn't cause a huge critical splash on its original theatrical opening, it subsequently went on to become a cult classic. A Very Bad sequel, An American Werewolf in Paris, was released in 1997.
