Whether you’re a Punisher fan or not, it’s hard to see this cover (by artist Rahzzah) and not want to pick it up.
This is a one-issue, Halloween-themed story about ol’ Frank Castle hunting a serial killer on All Hallows Eve. In a world where villains where colorful costumes, Frank will have to be extra careful not to let any civilians fall into his crosshairs.

At this point, Civil War II has done more to upset us than engage us in its argument over pre-emptive justice. Yet given the nature of last issue’s big cliffhanger -- where Ulysses had a vision of Spider-Man Miles Morales killing Captain America Steve Rogers -- there’s no way we can skip this next chapter. Just look at that cover!
So while the Iron Man vs. Captain Marvel plot isn’t capturing the magic of the original Marvel Civil War, we’re still hugely invested if only because we’re worried about what will happen to our favorite Marvel characters.
Maybe Marvel was just trying to get into the Halloween spirit by scaring us into buying this next issue?

In case you haven’t noticed from the special panels at Comic-Con, the adult coloring books, the stamps, or the UN Ambassadorship for women’s empowerment, it’s Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary and DC is going all-out to honor the character’s legacy.
This week sees the release of an eight-dollar, over-sized special issue filled with Wonder Woman short stories, full-page sketches, double-splash pages, and some unique bonus material including a print interview with the Amazon conducted by Lois Lane. Everyone from Jim Lee to Gail Simone to Brian Azzarello is contributing to the issue, although it’s worth noting that while a majority is new stuff, some of the content is reprinted from past Wonder Woman comics.
This is a collection of comic-booking from the industry’s top creators, all doing what they do best to honor Wonder Woman. A fitting tribute, indeed.

With the Doctor Strange movie hitting soon (next week in the US!), Marvel is rolling out a new team book featuring the good doctor.
One of those omega-level villains is threatening the universe, like they do, and it will take more than just one Sorcerer Supreme to defeat it. This is a magical, time-traveling story where past, present and future Sorcerer Supremes must team up and fight together.
We’ve got Merlin, the Ancient One, and Wiccan (last seen in the X-Men: Battle of the Atom crossover) with more to come. And naturally, not every member of this mystical mash-up is a team player. Some have agendas of their own that don’t align with helping Doctor Strange save all of existence. The nerve of some of these guys.
We’ve been loving Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo’s reinvention of Doctor Strange’s world -- where the Sanctum Sanctorum has an interior like Hogwarts, magic has been almost entirely eradicated by an evil force, and Strange isn’t as all-knowing and all-powerful as we’ve been led to believe -- so we’re all about the idea of fleshing out his world with this spin-off series.
