Pokemon Go Halloween Update Increases Spooky Encounters

Finally, you can catch that elusive Zubat.

From October 26 until November 1, Halloween is coming to Pokemon Go.

Niantic says during this event, you'll earn double the amount of Candy every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokemon. Plus, your Buddy Pokemon will help you catch Candy four times as fast.

In addition, the chances of encountering spooky Pokemon has been increased. The likes of Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Golbat and Hypno will be seen more often. And, in a move sure to be pleasing to no one (at least in the infested UK), so will Zubat and Drowzee.

Pokemon Go players took 100 billion steps in the first three months after launch, and although the hype surrounding the game is slowing down, it still makes $2 million per day.
