Development on The Last Guardian is reportedly complete.
According to Polygon, Sony Interactive Entertainment producer Jun Yoshino tweeted today that the PlayStation 4 exclusive has gone gold, indicating the game will make its December 6 release date. However, after the news spread Yoshino deleted the tweet in less than an hour.
Though it’s not exactly clear why Yoshino quickly yanked the tweet, the producer might’ve made an announcement he wasn’t supposed to.
IGN has reached out to Sony for comment.
The Last Guardian was originally scheduled for release on October 25, 2016, but was pushed back for over a month. President of SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida explained that the main reason for the delay was because the game’s developers “encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development.”
