5 Things To Do First in Battlefield 1's Multiplayer

Want to get off to a great start in the new Battlefield? Check out this list of things to do first in Battlefield 1!

When you first jump into Multiplayer, one of the first things you should do is get a feel for all the new vehicles. Battlefield 1 has a bunch of vehicles that can spawn on a map, and the best way to learn how to deal with them is to hop in and drive around. This will give you some first hand experience on how they control and their weapon loadouts.

This information is invaluable when trying to decide how to fight a vehicle. If you know what guns it has, or how fast it can move, then you’ll have a better idea of what you can do to destroy it.

It’s a little thing, but so incredibly useful. In Battlefield 1, you can mark targets. This highlights them for your entire team to see, no matter where they are. This is incredibly useful when you spot planes and tanks rolling around. Point them out so everyone is aware of their existence, and it can go a long way to helping get them killed.

Marking is also very useful in the event something happens to obstruct your vision. Whether it’s a storm that kicks up, or some debris falling in your face, a marked target will be much easier to see than an unmarked one.

After you’ve played a match or two of Multiplayer, take the time to look at and customize your Classes. Right from the beginning there are small things you can do, like change your melee Weapon, or adjust some of the options on your guns.

This is something you should come back and check often. As you amass Warbonds, you can spend them to purchase new weapons and equipment. You’ll also open up more unlock opportunities by ranking up, so make sure to frequently check back to see if there’s anything new that you can add to your class to make it play better!

There is a key setting that we suggest you take a look at before taking a deep dive into Multiplayer. In the Controls section, you can now adjust your Soldier Sensitivity and Soldier Zoom Sensitivity. These settings are incredibly useful, especially for snipers.

Soldier Sensitivity affects your normal look speed, while you are walking around and hip-firing weapons. Zoom Sensitivity affects you when you have the gun lifted up and are looking through the scope. Often times, you want to have your normal sensitivity very high so you can look around quickly, but this results in your scope speed being so fast that you have trouble landing shots. Now, that doesn’t need to be the case. Crank up the first one, but lower your zoom speed and you’ll be able to whip the camera around, but as soon as you zoom in, you’ll have a smooth, steady hand.

Battlefield is a huge game, so it can often seem like the actions of one person are insignificant, but this is far from true. There are many ways a single person can help sway the course of the match, so it’s important to always be working together with your team.

This means working on getting the objective instead of chasing kills, switching classes when your team needs more Medics or Supports. Of course, you should also stick near them. Don’t run off alone, hang out with your allies so that they can cover you and you them.
