Following confirmation earlier this year that Natalie Portman won't appear in Thor: Ragnarok, the actress has come forward to address her future in the MCU, saying she doesn't expect to return in a Marvel movie anytime soon.
When asked by The Wall Street Journal (via Heroic Hollywood) if she'll ever reprise her role as Dr. Jane Foster, Portman replied, "I don’t know if, maybe, one day they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know I’m done."
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige previously addressed Portman's absence from Ragnarok, saying there are "many reasons" why Jane Foster won't appear in the upcoming Thor film, including the fact that only a few scenes that actually take place on Earth.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, 2017 and stars Tessa Thompson as the film's new female lead, Valkyrie. For a sneak peek at the upcoming film, check out this Loki tease from Tom Hiddleston.
