DC locks in another promising talent.

Current Wonder Woman artist Liam Sharp will continue to play a major role at DC Comics over the next two years. Today DC Entertainment announced that Sharp has signed a two-year exclusivity agreement with the company, meaning all of Sharp's work will be published through either DC Comics or the Vertigo imprint.

Sharp currently collaborates with writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott on the current volume of Wonder Woman. Sharp has also worked on books like Incredible Hulk, Testament and Judge Dredd.

“I was floored that both Dan DiDio and Jim Lee called me up regarding a two-year contract with DC Comics,” Sharp said in DC's press release. “The sales and fan reaction to Wonder Woman have been staggering, heralding a return to the level of popularity such an iconic character deserves.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled about Liam coming to DC and securing him on one of our highest profile titles of 2016,” said Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras. “I knew we needed an artist capable of dynamically bringing Wonder Woman to life on the page, and Liam’s work is simply exceptional.”

Sharp is the second high-profile artist to sign a contract with DC this month. Last week we learned that Sean Gordon Murphy will be returning to the company to draw a story arc on Scott Snyder's All-Star Batman and then write and draw his own Elseworlds Batman mini-series.

Be sure to check out our interview with Sharp, Rucka and Scott for more on their ongoing plans for Wonder Woman.
