The 9 Coolest Booths at Anime Expo

Many booths had their own events and professional cosplayers.

Taking up more space in the Los Angeles Convention Center than E3, Anime Expo is huge. This year's Anime Expo hosted some fantastic booths that not only offered exclusive collectibles and chances to win prizes, but also a look at some of the real art used to make anime. Here are nine of the coolest booths IGN saw at Anime Expo 2016.

The Aniplex booth hosted an A-1 Pictures exhibit that featured art used in several A-1 Pictures anime — including Sword Art Online, Erased, Your Lie in April — and monitors above them that showed the art in action. The gallery also had a rotating cast of cosplayers that dressed as characters from the shows on display.

The Bandai booth was like walking through a museum of amazing collectibles from One Piece, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, and more. There was even a huge Tubbs plush and a few gold fish from the mobile game Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector to pose with.

Like the Bandai booth, the Bluefin booth was an impressive museum of collectibles. There was no giant plush to laze around with, but there were a lot of awesome Gunpla on display.

The Monster Hunter Generations airship and Ace Attorney courtroom stand from E3 made their return to the Los Angeles Convention Center, and they looked just as great as it did then.

Ninja Division

The wildly impressive cosplay of Monster Musume's Rachnera by Marie-Claude Bourbonnais made this booth a must-visit. There were also some board games and computer games available to play, in addition to a games and manga shop. Even their cashier cosplayed!

P.A. Works

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the P.A. Works booth featured art, character cutouts, from a number of its shows. There were also cool outfit replicas, a wall of messages to P.A. Works, and a stage for events.

Pony Canyon

Pony Canyon's booth had a rotating cast of cosplayers from Sound! Euphonium and Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, and behind them was a gorgeous wall of lanterns. The Pony Canyon shop was on the other side of the lantern wall.

The Rilakkuma booth was like walking into a cute dream. There were several small rooms filled to the brim with Rilakkuma goods, a few of which were available in a shop around the corner. Rilakkuma even made an appearance on the main stage a few times throughout the convention.

Toei Animation

Split up into four areas, the Toei Animation booth had little coves featuring art, trailers, and merchandise from Sailor Moon Crystal, Dragon Ball Super, and One Piece Film: Gold, along with a little shop at the front of the booth.

In addition to all the great booths, attendees showed off a ton of great cosplay at Anime Expo. Check out IGN's One Punch Man cosplay gallery, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cosplay gallery, and IGN's big gallery of our favorite cosplay to see some of the awesome cosplay that was at the convention.

There were also several big announcements made at Anime Expo panels this past weekend. Crunchyroll announced that its going to start dubbing anime, Funimation announced Code Geass and Escaflowne Blu-rays, there's new story details for Samurai Jack Season 5, and the Dragon Ball Super manga is on its way to North America.
