20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures have released a pair of new stills from its upcoming Assassin's Creed movie, providing a fresh look at Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch and his ancestor Aguilar.
The new photos were revealed in a post on the official Assassin's Creed Twitter account, along with the tagline: "We work in the dark to serve the light."
The film will be set in both 15th Century Spain and modern day with a 35/65 percent split, respectively. Ubisoft explained the reason behind this decision last month at E3, saying that a greater focus on the present offered the studio more creative freedom.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, Assassin's Creed: The Movie also stars Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. The film opens in theaters on December 21, 2016 and won't feature any characters from Ubisoft's video game series.
