A reunion panel to celebrate the 30th anniversary of James Cameron's Aliens will be held this year at San Diego Comic-Con.
According to EW, Cameron will participate in a Q&A session alongside Ripley star Sigourney Weaver and producer Gale Anne Hurd, as well as castmembers Bill Paxton, Paul Reiser, Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen and Carrie Henn. The panel will be held on Saturday, July 23.
In addition, Fox is releasing a special 30th anniversary version of Aliens for Blu-ray and Digital HD on September 13, which will be available for pre-order at the studio's convention booth. In addition to a new interview with Cameron, the release includes the original theatrical version and special edition, as well as extra scenes and a commentary track. The Blu-ray also comes bundled with a Dark Horse art book and collectible cards.
Cameron has a lot on his plate at the moment, as the director has promised four Avatar sequels, with the first releasing in 2018. Meanwhile, Ridley Scott is moving forward with a new entry in the Alien franchise, titled Alien: Covenant, which opens in theaters on August 4, 2017 and takes place ten years after Prometheus.
