20th Century Fox has pushed back the production of Gambit to the end of this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, rewrites are responsible for the production delay of Gambit. The movie, starring Channing Tatum as the mutant hero, was originally scheduled to start filming this month in New Orleans.
That means director Doug Liman will helm another project first: The Wall for Amazon Studios. The Edge of Tomorrow filmmaker joined Gambit late last year, after Rupert Wyatt left the superhero project.
Gambit is currently without a release date, as 20th Century Fox removed the movie from its release slate last month.
