It looks like you might be listening to your Spotify library on your Xbox One before long.
A screenshot of Microsoft's Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) reportedly testing a Spotify app for Xbox One surfaced earlier on Reddit this week. According to The Verge, a Spotify app is indeed in the works and coming to the Xbox One soon.
When reached for comment, a representative for Microsoft said "We’re always working on a number of new experiences for Xbox One owners, many times with great music playing in the background, but have nothing to announce today."
Spotify declined to comment on the report.
The streaming service recently arrived in the Windows Store for Windows 10 devices. The Spotify app also initially debuted for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles more than two years ago.
Microsoft is said to be planning a number of dashboard enhancements and features over the coming months prior to the launch of the Xbox One X console.
Microsoft recently also revealed three new Xbox One controller designs and added custom gamer pics, co-streaming, and more to the Xbox One. The company's Phil Spencer also recently offered an update on Xbox One X preorders.
Spotify users can also now listen to IGN spoken editions of our written content via the streaming service.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
