Overwatch Summer Games Return August 8th

New skins, old skins, and a new map for Lucioball.

Overwatch's seasonal Summer Games will return Tuesday, August 8th-29th.

Though not a major overhaul of last year's format, the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 will feature new skins, the return of the Summer Games 2016 skins, and a new Sydney map for the Summer Games' exclusive brawl, Lucioball.

New 2017 Summer Games cosmetics will cost the following:

  • Legendary Skins = 3,000 credits
  • Epic Skins = 750 credits
  • Rare tier = 225 credits
  • Common tier = 75 credits

For those who missed out on certain 2016 Summer Games cosmetics, they will be available at a reduced cost:

  • Legendary Skins = 1,000 credits
  • Epic Skins = 250 credits
  • Rare tier = 75 credits
  • Common tier = 25 credits

Lucioball will return with an additional map, Sydney, and matches will rotate between this new map and the Rio Stadium. Lucio's abilities have also been tweaked. The ability to 'boop' enemies has been removed, and his ultimate will now increase his speed and speed of his boop rather than pulling the ball towards the player. Overwatch Summer Games 2017 will also introduce a second competitive mode in Lucioball, which will allow players to place and rank.
