As the X-Men recover from Secret Empire, it seems love is in the air at the X-Mansion.

This issue sees the X-Men struggling to move forward from their recent battle with the new X-Cutioner. And for some, that means dealing with some lingering sexual tension. It seems that longtime friends and teammates Nightcrawler and Prestige are headed into a relationship, despite the latter's misgivings about dating a teammate. Not that you can blame her, given all the trouble her father got into with the X-Women in his life.
However, the big news in this issue involves the apparent rekindling of the romance between Colossus and Shadowcat. Peter surprised Kitty by abruptly proposing to her during the middle of a dinner date.
This is actually the second time in as many years that one of the Peters in Kitty's life has proposed to her. The 2015 crossover X-Men/Guardians of the Galaxy: The Black Vortex culminated with Star-Lord offering his hand in marriage. Obviously, that didn't work out for the two, and it remains to be seen if Kitty will even accept her latest marriage proposal. To say that Colossus and Shadowcat have a rocky romantic history is a major understatement.
