Dragon Quest 1-3 also headed to PS4 and 3DS in the region.

In addition to Dragon Quest Builders 2, Square Enix made several other game announcements during its Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 in Tokyo this weekend.

The fourth major expansion for Dragon Quest X, dubbed 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown Online was announced (translation via Gematsu), and will be released in Japan on November 16 for PS4, PC, Switch and Wii U for 3,800 yen.

In Japan, the fantasy MMO will launch for PS4 on August 17 and for Switch on September 21.

Square Enix also announced the card battle game Dragon Quest Rivals will be released for iOS and Android in Japan sometime this fall, and that a PC version, which will launch sometime later, is also in the works.

Additionally, the publisher announced Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest II will be available digitally for PS4 and 3DS in Japan on August 10 for 600 yen and 850 yen, respectively. Dragon Quest III will arrive later that month for 1,500 yen.

The franchise's latest installment, Dragon Quest XI, launched last month in Japan and has sold incredibly well. Square Enix has confirmed DQXI is coming to the west in 2018.
