Brie Larson will star as Carol Danvers in the upcoming solo film.
Captain Marvel's solo film will be helmed by a pair of directors.
IGN can confirm that Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will direct the 2019 Captain Marvel film starring Brie Larson. The two also previously co-directed 2010's It's Kind of a Funny Story and co-wrote the Ryan Gosling-starring film Half Nelson, which Fleck directed.
Marvel announced Brie Larson would play Captain Marvel at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.
Variety originally reported Boden and Fleck's attachment to the film.
