Plus, Gambit to re-enter active development.

With X-Men: Apocalypse underperforming earlier this year and several of the film's stars reaching the end of their contracts, 20th Century Fox is reportedly reworking its mutant-focused movie franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series "will be reconfigured," as franchise producer and writer Simon Kinberg begins work on a new script.

The Gambit movie, meanwhile, is reportedly set to re-enter active development with a new filmmaker, following the exit of director Doug Liman, and Fox's upcoming New Mutants spinoff may begin shooting this coming spring.

The studio is also releasing a new Wolverine solo film next year. Check out the first trailer for Logan ahead of its March 3 release.
