Disney's live-action Winnie the Pooh movie, titled Christopher Robin, has found its director in World War Z helmer Marc Forster.
According to Variety, Forster will direct the movie while Alex Ross Perry is penning the script for a story that will reportedly be similar to that of Seth McFarlane's adult comedy Ted, but will offer a more family-friendly take on the "fantasy-buddy" premise.
As the film's title implies, the movie will center around Christopher Robin, the young boy in A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh book series. An animated feature based on the beloved children's franchise released back in 2011.
Christopher Robin is one of many live-action films currently in the works at Disney. In addition to the Emma Watson-led Beauty and the Beast remake, which hits theaters this coming March, the studio is developing a live-action Lion King movie, considering a live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, and is already moving forward with a sequel to Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book.
