This page contains a list of updates, bug fixes and patch notes for the various developer updates to The Division.
This update is released alongside the Survival DLC Expansion and is free for all players. It adds and changes several key components of the game, most notably:
- Named Gear
Much like unique weapons (such as the Midas or Cassidy), there are now unique pieces of High-End Gear. At present there is one piece of named gear for each gear category. - Scaling Vendors
Vendors in shops, regardless of location, will now carry gear and weapons commensurate to the players Gear Score level. - New Weapons
There are 12 new weapons available throughout the game; 2 LMGs, 3 Marksman Rifles, 3 SMGs, one new Assault Rifle and 3 new pistols. - 'Increased S'tash Size
Player stash capacity has increased to 150 items from the original 70.
- Added World Tier 5 bracket (224+ GS)
- Enemy NPCs are level 34.
- Maximum Gear Score raised to 256.
- Heroic Incursions are now available in Tier 5 only.
- Named Gear items have been implemented in the game. One piece is available for each Gear Slot and each one comes with a unique Talent. Named Gear items can only be acquired in World Tier 5 or in Survival game mode.

The "Conflict" update, releasing for free on May 24, 2016, contains several gameplay additions as well as the second Incursion, Clear Sky.
In a Q&A on Ubisoft's blog, Petter Mannerfelt (Game Director) explained some details and outlined what to expect in the upcoming expansion.
The premise for the Clear Skies Incursion revolves around a group of Rikers who have taken over an anti-air battery from the remnants of the Last Man Battalion.
The Incursion is said to take place in Columbus Circle, which confirms that the out-of-bounds area players glitched into earlier this year, has been updated and added to the game. Mannerfelt also confirmed that v1.2 will include a new Dark Zone bracket, though whether this exists in a new area is unknown.
Rewards for completing the Clear Sky mission will be High End items with a Gear Score of 204, plus Gear Set items with a score of 214 (on Hard) and 240 (on Challenging).
There are four new Gear Sets being introduced in the Conflict update:
- Hunter's Faith, for long-range DPS.
- Lone Star, for solo/midrange DPS.
- Predator's Mark, for support players.
- Final Measure, for defensive/tank players.
In addition to increasing the drop rate of High-End loot, Dark Zone bosses may also drop Sealed Caches, which can contain bonus gear, division tech or DZ funds.
Players are now able to Hijack Extractions, meaning that once containers have been attached to the extraction rope a player may cut the rope and claim the items for themselves. Hijacking an extraction will result in a Rogue status.
Finally, there are new missions available in DZ safehouses. Search and Destroy missions lead players across the Dark Zone to locate and eliminate groups of hostile gang members. Completing a certain amount of S&D missions will lead players to High-Value Targets, which are additional unique enemies hiding in the Dark Zone.
Falcon Lost Incursion, v1.1 also introduces a slew of additions, changes and fixes to The Division.
Gear Sets are specialized new collections of gear thatgrant powerful stat bonuses and talents, and can be used for many playstyles. They can be found by completing the most challenging activities in Manhattan.
- Tactician's Authorit y
- Striker's Battlegear provide bonuses for assault capabilities.
- Sentry's Call enhances marksman capabilities.
- Path of the Nomad provides bonuses for lone wanderers
Items dropped by enemies can now be shared with other players. You can only share items for during the first 2 hours after you have acquired them, and items can only be shared with players who are currently in your group or who were also in your group when the item was originally dropped.
Assignments are daily challenges that can be completed around the game world. They are available for a limited time (24h for Daily Assignments and 7 days for Weekly Assignments), after which, they will be replaced by different assignments.
Assignments come in different categories: Combat, Dark Zone, andCrafting.
Most assignments can be completed while playing alone but some will require enlisting other agent’s assistance to complete
Dark Zone Supply Drops are a global event where the Strategic Homeland Defense agency airdrops multiple supply caches to assist Division agents
Supply drops will occur multiple times over the course the day
The supply drops will contain non-contaminated gear of all types that will be ready to use without the need for extraction
These supply drops will be heavily sought after by other agents and enemy factions that roam the Dark Zone, so be ready for resistance
Every non-vanity gear piece that can be found when your agent is level 30 has a Gear Score value. The higher an item’s Gear Score, the stronger the item
The overall Gear Score of your agent can be seen in your main menu next to your player level. Gear Score indicates the advancement of an agent
Other agents’ Gear Scores are displayed next to their health bars
Improving your gear and increasing your overall Gear Score will grant your agent access to the most dangerous high-end challenges.
The Group Spectator Cam lets players spectate members of their group while waiting to be revived or the entire group to be down
Players can use RB/LB, R1/L1 or Q/E keys to switch between group members
Added new High-End named weapons:
Warlord: Assault Rifle
Valkyria: Submachine gun
(Historian: Marksman Rifle) Please note that while the Historian will be implemented in the game with this update, it will not be acquirable in-game until update 1.2

Update 1.0.2 for Tom Clancy's The Division addresses several issues that have been the topic of much discussion in the community since the game's initial launch on March 8th, 2016:
- Trained Weapon Talent Update: Initially found to be severely OP on the Midas High-End SMG, the talent can now only be rolled on Shotguns, Marksmen Rifles, and Pistols. It's bonus has been reduced to 0.1%, which is substantially less than the original 1%-5%, and the talent is being replaced on all other weapon types (including the Midas).

- Killing Rogues now offers better DZ funds / EXP rewards.
- Surviving a Rogue status will now offer better DZ funds and DZ EXP rewards.
- Fast-travel to DZ Checkpoints is now allowed from outside the Dark Zone.
