With nearly $750 million in worldwide revenue, Suicide Squad is one of Warner Bros.' most successful films this year. And one big reason for that success, according to Warner Bros. Pictures' President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman, is the film's diverse cast.
Speaking at Variety's Inclusion Summit, Silverman cited the presence of actors of color and strong female roles as helping to make Suicide Squad appeal to such a broad global audience.
In other words, diversity is good business for Hollywood.

Suicide Squad hits Blu-ray in December, and will also be released as an extended cut that will include more scenes of Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.
