Alongside a new trailer, pre-order pages for Mass Effect Andromeda have now opened, shedding new light on Bioware's far-flung space opera.
Amazon's pre-order page reveals that the game will include 4-player multiplayer, include destructible environments, and include a more flexible progression tree for skills and weapons. We've also now seen boxart for both the standard and Deluxe editions of the game.
A game synopsis on Amazon reads: "Players will lead our fight for a new home in hostile territory as the Pathfinder - a leader of military-trained explorers. This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and player choices throughout the game will ultimately determine our survival."
One detail missing from the pre-order pages is a firm release date. A seeming slip-up on the part of Dark Horse Comics suggests it is scheduled for March 21, 2017, but EA has stuck firmly to "Spring 2017".
We've had Andromeda details drip-fed to use for some time now - like the fact that the male and female main characters are siblings, and that it may begin well after the original trilogy ended. Here's hoping they come a little faster in the lead-up to launch.
