Justice League Will Introduce The Flash's Iris West

Iris West will make a brief cameo along with Amber Heard’s Mera.

The Flash’s Iris West will reportedly make her DC Cinematic debut in next year’s Justice League.

Variety reporter Justin Kroll tweeted that Kiersey Clemons, who’s playing West, will make a cameo in Justice League along with Amber Heard’s Mera.

Iris West was first introduced in the 1956 comic book, Showcase #4. She’s a tough-as-nails journalist and the love interest of the second Flash, Barry Allen. The character is also played by Candice Patton on The CW’s The Flash series.

A few days ago, The Flash director Rick Famuyiwa left the project due to creative differences with Warner Bros. Famuyiwa worked with Clemons on his 2015 independent film Dope, and cast the actress as West. But despite Famuyiwa’s departure, it seems Clemons is still set to appear in future DC movies.

Justice League is slated for release November 17, 2017.
