Journey Developer Teases Its Next Game On Twitter

Thatgamecompany's last game came out in 2012.

Thatgamecompany, the acclaimed studio behind 2012's Journey, looks to be teasing its next game – or at least an announcement for its next game.

Posting on its official Twitter account and website, the developer offered no information aside from the text "a game about giving," and the teaser image seen below.

Journey, the company's last game, was met with immense critical acclaim, receiving not only a 9.0 from IGN, but also our 2012 Game of the Year award. In 2014, the company scored $7 million to make its next game from the venture capital firm Capital Today.

We spoke with Thatgamecompany co-founder Jenova Chen at DICE 2013, who told us Journey's follow-up – which is unlikely to be a sequel – "has to be better," though he did explain he isn't trying to compete with Journey in his next game.
