Fallout 4 PS4 Mod Support Coming This Week

The mods are limited, however.

Fallout 4 update 1.8 will bring mods to PlayStation 4 later this week, Bethesda announced today.

The mod support is limited, however, with 1GB of storage on PS4 compared to 5GB on Xbox One. Mods also cannot use external assets.

Bethesda originally reported having issues with PS4 mods, which caused the developer to delay a mod beta. Problems included limited mod storage space, performance issues, and problems with sound files.

Troubles continued from there, with Bethesda later canceling plans for Fallout 4 and Skyrim: Special Edition mods on PS4 altogether due to problems with Sony. A month later mods were reintroduced with the limits outlined above.

Fallout 4 mods came to Xbox One in early June and garnered "50x" the traffic compared to when mod support came to PC.
